Saturday's Photo Hunt was on "Dreamin" I posted the picture below of my two youngest at a Mets game. I said a little bit about what how much my son enjoys baseball and is a huge Mets fan. Today he sent me a post on baseball and why he feels so passionately about the game. So here is an excerpt on baseball by "the self proclaimed #1 Mets fan."
"Baseball players are a rare breed...they accept that they will ALWAYS fail. Even the very best players only hits the ball 3 out of 10 times
Only ONE player has actually hit the ball 56 consecutive games,(not times, but games.) In my life i've failed countless times, but just like a baseball player, I smile each and everytime I walk back to the dugout .
The belief that you'll always have another at bat, another chance, another game is inspiring to me...some days you'll go on a hitting streak, some days you'll strike out every time, but you keep trying no matter what.
The best players in baseball get walked when they come up to bat, the best pitchers only pitch one every four games. No player can hit the ball every time. You have to rely on your team mates to help pull you through your mistakes, so that hopefully in the end all of you will win.
Being a Mets fan i've learned to enjoy the hard times, the good times, and the times where the team make you cry. The trick is you never let the good take over your thoughts just as you don't allow the negative to spiral you down...you just keep the hope and keep believin".

This is my darling daughter and her super hubby Tim. The theme is Action and what better action than saving a fair damsel from falling into the icy water below.

This is a sweet stop if you have to wait for a table at Serendipity's. It's right down the street and features all kind of candy. One of my daughters loves to take pictures of her feet so we couldn't resist a shot of all of our feet on this "Sweet Spot" on the floor.
Tim and Suzy are sitting on the peppermint stools at the kids "Candy Bar". Mr. Wonderful and I couldn't resist the colorful window display capturing this remarkable store.
Suzy loves to collect Pez despensers and started her collection in high school. Her collection is way over 200 now and this display was on the wall at Dylan's.
We loved the visit through the "penny candy" section of old favorites...candy that is hard to find now and definitely cost way more than a penny.
Another interesting feature was candy selection of famous actors. Our son, loves circus peanuts ( the orange marshmellow variety) so does Michael J. Fox. He was intriqued by that sweet fact.
This store has it all. Jelly Beans, M&M's, all flavors, all colors. We were tempted to buy our Canadian daughter a "Dixie Chick" tee-shirt featuring the Rebel Flag and a marshmellow Peep.
We did buy some special Belgium chocolate bars for a special friend celebrating a birthday and watching our animals while we gone. Now if we can just stay out of them till we get home.
