Here I am feeding the new man in my life. Mr. Wonderful and I have been taking some feeding shifts so Mom and Dad can get some much needed sleep. Oscar is such a love and perfect in every way. (Not that I'm at all biased!)

He sleeps a lot and is getting better at nursing. He had his first pediatrician appointment yesterday and his doctor was very pleased .

Auntie Becky has been giving us some good advice via phone calls from Canada. Emma has been looking at Oscar's photo and saying "baby" when she sees him.

Proud Poppa, has been helping me do the 3 a.m. feeding. He is a terrific burper! You can tell he is very proud of his new grandson. Here's a picture of my boy awake. I love watching him sleep. He smiles sometimes and loves to sleep with his right arm extended over this head.

I love this picture of new daddy Tim with Oscar. Tim is such a wonderful daddy and very protective of Suzy and Oscar. This is a shout out to Terry and Marie (Tim's parents) for raising such a caring and sensitive man. Tim is a great cook, and anticipates so many of Suzy's needs before she even has to ask. We adore him and feel so blessed to have him in our family.

Oscar will be a week old tomorrow at 11:55 P.M. We are planning on having a one week birthday party for him. All of us have been putting in some late night hours so I'm sure we will all be in attendance.

Keep this new family in your prayers as they adjust to each other. It is so sweet to watch your baby interact with her baby. Loving every minute of Diva duty.

I finally got to hold my boy today and count all his fingers and toes and check out the hair on this boy!
Of course I stole lots of kisses and we had a long talk about his momma and dad.

He is totally kissable and a cross between his parents. I see Suzy's mouth (little bow lips) his daddy's dark hair and eyes and his nose looks a little like both mom and dad.

Suzy didn't sleep much last night as she kept looking at him to make sure he was still breathing and just admiring the wonder of his little life. I heard Tim tell Suzy they have new names now....."Mom and Dad". Of course that made me cry!

Suzy totally hated her picture with baby so here's a much better one of the new family. The epidural is making Suzy itch but she definitely is improving every day. She is looking forward to real food tonight and actually getting her up .

You know his Poppa had to have a turn holding him and talking with him. We put the Mets cap on him because Uncle Andy came to meet his little buddy today also. Uncle Andy says the worse thing that the baby could do would be a Yankee fan.

Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. Both mom and baby are doing well and we can hardly wait to get them home.

Emma at play!

Emma, Becky and I decided that a girl could never have enough strawberries so Mom went picking while Emma and I played in the parking lot with the rocks. We banged them together and sang silly songs, we stacked them up and knocked them down, we threw them and we scattered them. By the time we were tired, Mom had 14 dollars worth of berries picked . SWEET!

Poppa was eager to show off Miss Em at the Mission so she made a guest appearance. She was a big hit. She rummaged through some stuffed toys and came home with a lime green stuffed dog . She enjoyed riding in the laundry carts the most, especially when Poppa would push . I'm not sure, who had the most fun! Poppa has a pretty big grin on his face!

Emma enjoyed playing in the grass at the P. Buckley Moss Museum the most. She loved rolling in the grass, picking up leaves, checking out sticks and rocks and just reclining. This is one little one who knows how to relax.
