You'd be complaining too if all your Diva did was hold you, take pictures and kiss you! We went by the hospital this morning for a short visit. Suzy was able to take a shower and change into her own clothes (which always makes you feel better!)

They will be coming home tomorrow afternoon and Poppa, the cats and I are ready to see them. Uncle Andy came by the hospital with us but is now on his way to work.

He had to taste the lasagna I put up for later meals. Such a guy...always into quality control. He gave it two thumbs up!

Suzy was delighted when the lactation specialist told her she should eat high fat cheese cake late at night for the baby's sake. We made sure we bought one.....being responsible grandparents. The scarifices one makes for baby! (ha!)

This is a cheesy picture of my baby boy (now 6'2"). They grow up in a hurry.

Tiny Tim is nursing better and longer so poor momma is feeling better about nursing him. I think things will be even better when they are in the comfort of their own home.

One problem might be Suzy's other baby Pan (the Cat) who has just discovered the changing pad and thinks it was really nice of them to make it for him. Silly cat....right now he is about 3 times the baby's weight.

Our new grandson just missed "Talk like a pirate day" but his Poppa wanted everyone to know he was ready for it.

All he needs is a black eye patch! As you can see by the picture "tiny Tim" wasn't at all concerned about it . He was nestled in his Poppa's strong arms so he felt safe. Forget about treasure chests, the jolly Roger, walking the plank and or even evil Pirate Captains, nothing will wake this sleeping boy.

Please pray for this little pirate's mother. Motherhood is difficult with all it's demands and lack of sleep. This mother can hardly wait to get them both home so I can spoil them rotten.

I'm cooking today, putting up some casseroles in the freezer for busy days ahead. I'm putting them in smaller pans so they don't have to eat the same thing for a week.

We are staying away from the hospital today (the real sacrifice) hoping that this new family can bond together and not feel like they have to entertain us. Keep them in your prayers.

I finally got to hold my boy today and count all his fingers and toes and check out the hair on this boy!
Of course I stole lots of kisses and we had a long talk about his momma and dad.

He is totally kissable and a cross between his parents. I see Suzy's mouth (little bow lips) his daddy's dark hair and eyes and his nose looks a little like both mom and dad.

Suzy didn't sleep much last night as she kept looking at him to make sure he was still breathing and just admiring the wonder of his little life. I heard Tim tell Suzy they have new names now....."Mom and Dad". Of course that made me cry!

Suzy totally hated her picture with baby so here's a much better one of the new family. The epidural is making Suzy itch but she definitely is improving every day. She is looking forward to real food tonight and actually getting her up .

You know his Poppa had to have a turn holding him and talking with him. We put the Mets cap on him because Uncle Andy came to meet his little buddy today also. Uncle Andy says the worse thing that the baby could do would be a Yankee fan.

Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. Both mom and baby are doing well and we can hardly wait to get them home.

Our baby boy has arrived and what an arrival! He made his intentions known early yesterday morning when his momma awoke to find out her water had broken.

By 2 o'clock the doctor decided to help move the labor along and began to induce labor. By 10P.M. she was given an epidural as her labor pain were 3 minutes apart.

At 11:30 P.M. Tim called and said they were going to do a C-Section as the baby's heart rate would decrease after her contractions. We arrived at the hospital at 12:15 to be greeted by the neonatalogist who assured us that baby was fine and good looking too!

Because she was the only one in the recovery room, and because we had driven 8 hours to be there, they let us go into recovery to see the new family and of course our boy. Suzy is totally drained but feeling no pain ( as a matter of fact she couldn't even feel her arms so couldn't hold him yet. I got a good look at him through the isolete and snapped these two pictures before we left them .

He was born at 11:55 P.M. and weighed in at 7 pounds 3 oz. He has black hair and was wide awake and looking around when we saw him. Suzy will be in the hospital till Wednesday.

I was given very good advice to not announce his name till his mom or dad post it......so even though it's killing me, kindly refer to him as "Tiny Tim" or jellybean till then.

Son Andy had a dream a few nights ago that the baby would be good looking with black hair. I think he will want to baby sit"Tiny Tim" because he is such a cute baby and will be an instant "Chick magnet" if he walks him in the park. What are nephews for if not to attract beautiful girls.

Pray for a quick recovery for Suzy.

Baby Girl called this morning to tell us her water broke so Jellybean will be born in the next 24 hours. Poppa and Diva are arranging for Cat care, washing some clothes so we can be gone for a week, praying minute by minute for Suzy and Jellybean and getting ready to dash down the road. Anxious Auntie Becky is alerted up in Canada and Uncle Andy is getting ready to break out the baby Mets uniform for new nephew.

Will announce the arrival as soon as we know and you know there will be pictures. We would appreciate your prayers for our new arrival and for the health and safety of both Mom and baby.

Woo Hoo.....what a great day for a birthday.
