Floozie and I are friends....actually sisters in every way that counts. I met Floozie over 5 years ago and whenever I am in Savannah (on our yearly visit) I am with her. Floozie and I love to talk and our men like to be in the same room watching TV and grunting occasionally.

Floozie came into my life at a critical time when it seemed like the whole world was on its way out. They had just moved from Illinois and were new to the area. We had been in Savannah for 17 years and were in the process of leaving.

Our friendship develop quickly and then we moved. Despite the distance we have always remained close and one fateful date I persuaded her to start her own blog. Now she's everyone's sweetheart, blogging neighbor, and virtual friend. Since then she has launched out in the blogsphere and met many wonderful people and even opened up her home to Blogger Babes. What Floozie doesn't know about hospitality hasn't
been written yet. She is a wonderful hostess, tour guide, cook, and seems to be able to channel "Martha Stewart" at any given moment.

Her worse fault is that she seems incapable of saying "No" to me or Melli and consequently gets involved in wild hair brained adventures. She has put up with a lot just to be my friend....horrible schedules, lunch dates , sneaking off to catch an afternoon movie, shopping, going to the Tea Room and taking me to get all my guilty "Savannah Treats". She's even shared her grand children with me or put up my family members who happened to "pop" in to see their parents and need a place to spend the night.

She knows me really well, keeps my secrets , hopes, disappointments and dreams. She's can tell my mood by my punctuation and is the first one to email me or call me demanding to know what's going on. We can pray together, cry together and I know she is my greatest cheerleader or butt-kicker. She is nicer by nature than I am by grace. She is incredibly generous with her time, skills and will even give you the shirt off her back if you happen to compliment her on her wardrobe.

She knows no stranger and has a huge loving heart. She wasn't born Southern but she certainly has adapted well. If I could change one thing about her, I would give her the ability to see how wonderful she really is so she could erase some of the self- effacing tapes she plays in her head.

Everyone should have such a good friend. I am indeed blessed.

Baba and me at the Savannah Tea Room (dressed up ladies or fan dancers? ) You decide!

I met Baba in Savannah last May. My Friend Floozie started Baba blogging and wanted me to meet this little dynamo. Baba is a poster girl for Curves . She has lost 50 pounds and now with two new knees she is a hurricane force all on her own. Baba and Floozie hosted the Blogger Babes Blast and each made us all feel very welcomed. Baba had all of us over for a Sunday dinner and let me tell you.....this southern belle really knows how to bake a delicious ham! She and her sweetie, Fred, are very gracious and charming. They have a beautiful home and Fred is a very handy guy to have around when it comes to home improvements.

Baba always kept up with us and was usually in the middle of any event. She loves to laugh and is a riot at a slumber party. Baba opened her home to Susan and Susan helped her learn some new tricks on her computer.

Baba reminds me of my favorite pop corn....Kettle Corn, a little sweet and a little salty. She is certainly remarkable lady and my most unforgettable character. I'm sure God gets a chuckle when He thinks about her , I know I do.

Barbara's Rendition of the "Blogger Babes"

You would think that after a 12 hour drive (which normally takes 10) , several detours, and one "Aha!" moment, followed by a sermon on Gluttony (shoot how did HE know about all those extra calories?), tons of laughter, barrels of bear hugs, and so much picture popping you would swear the paparazzi had spotted some celebrities, that there would be more post about our mad cap adventure. However, I've been told that what goes on in Savannah ......stays in Savannah!

Hmmm.....how fortunate for you dear readers that I (Lazy Daisy) believe in truth in journalism and am here to give you the real truth of our excursions despite the watered down versions that have already been posted.

Melli came to party! She is overly prepared for the Tea Room! Can you say Mad Hatter? I keep telling her no one wears a hat and gloves or dresses up ( but how do you say "NO" to some one who is overly prepared.....especially one who's driving?)

She wants hats and gloves.....then that's what I'll give her! Looks like I may have to borrow some hand cream from Floozie as my hands have gotten quite rough lately and I definitely need a good manicure!
Susan's boys were quite concerned that her blogging buddies might really be "AXE Murderers" disguised as "mild mannered mothers, and sweet silvered hair grannies". Hmmm....maybe she should have listened . Bloggers are a rowdy bunch and you never know who will turn on you. Relax, boys, your mom is fine and a drives a superb "get away car". (Officer, I have no idea who those ladies are!)
This trip is going to the DAWGS.....we already know a certain persons propensity for climbing on things.....now she's got poor Jen running across the intersection (who knows what she told her to to help her climb the Dawgs).

Susan, being a teacher, decided that every field trip should have some rules. Here she is making all "the class" hold on to the rope as we prepare to enter a store. No wonder the whole group turned on her with Axes!

Hanging around with this crew really keeps a girl going.....More later! (Help, I'm being held captive in Savannah by a group of blogging babes.....send more money!)
