A weekly meme for giving thanks and/or for noting important events in our lives
The Spring Fever Edition
Play Along?

1. We finally got our car. It was delivered this past Thursday. It is a 2001 Subaru Forrester and we are very thankful to God for providing such a wonderful replacement for us. Our kids seem to think that a "road trip" may be in order!

2. Mr. Wonderful and I are so thankful that our friends Savannah Sandy and her Mr. Wonderful, (Mike ) are back home after a two week excursion of taking her parents from Arizona to Illinois. It was a very eventful trip (almost 5 thousand miles) and we praise the Lord for their safety and for their sacrifice of time and resources to benefit their aging parents.
3 Praise the Lord that our little Emma survived her first immunizations. It did make her quite fussy for a day or two and her poor Mama got very little rest but both Mom and daughter are better now. Emma had been so happy and contented during her doctor's visit that it almost seemed a shame to have to get two shots in her thighs. She is starting to smile and laugh now. I'm not sure what is funnier.....watching Emma or listening to her mom. Click here!

4. Now that I have transportation I can start going back to Curves on a regular basis. With just one car and our work schedule it was difficult to drive into town . I've missed the ladies I had just gotten to know and I desperately need the incentive to get back into exercising.

5. It's officially Spring and the daffodils are in bloom. Daffodils are so bright and cheery and always herald the coming of spring. They always remind me of the poem by William Wordsworth ....."and then my heart with pleasure fills and dances with the daffodils."

6. The Forsythia Bushes are blooming too. I love their bright yellow flowers and the way they stand out in the yard. I look forward to seeing them bloom every spring. They are eye poppers and demand your attention.
7. Praise God for Spring Time....even though I have a horrible case of spring fever I really look forward to this season. New growth, new life, color, longer days, warmer weather and the celebration of Easter all make this a special time of year for me. Wishing you the joys of springtime! (Cue music, dim the lights, exit thankfully for another week.)

I am mostly thankful that I am able-bodied and able to take part in the Race for Life to help others.
