If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all!

This is a shout out to Boy Wonder who has been having a very bad, terrible, rotten, miserable , no good kind of day.

We recently rented the Lindsey Lohan movie "Just My Luck" and Andy could easily have been the main character.

Just before leaving for church this morning we get a call from him. He begins by saying," Just wanted you to know that I'm alright and I just got back from the Emergency Room!"

Ok, he instantly has my attention now. Boy Wonder ended up getting 12 stitches in his forearm due to a freak accident at work while carrying glassware.

He knew exactly what to do, applied pressure on the wound and went to the ER for stitches. This whole situation would have been traumatic in and of itself except this was just the cherry on top of a week filled with misadventures and drama.

Sorry for the injury son. We are pleased you knew how to handle the situation and acted wisely to get the help you needed. This week has to be better!

Ah, the bad luck curse. I know it very well. Both ourselves and people around me have had a bit much of that lately. The last years to be exactly....

Hey, I see you are up and around. There had been no one in the blogging world today. I wanted everyone to see my darling granddaughters and their beautiful gowns but only Susan has dropped by today. My luck..although i do not believe in it. then I see you and see that Mr. Andy has not had a good day or week.
I hope that he is going to be okay. 12 stitches. He must really have a bad cut. Glad that he called you "after" the bad event!! He is all grown up and knows what to do!! It is hard to say...Yes he is all grown up now....
Looks like I had better go and do some voting if you are nominated...

Sorry your son had such a bad week. But you are so right, it is nice to know you've done a good job raising them, that they know what to do in a bad situation. And of course, he knows he can always call you.

Maybe he should have a copy of the kids book my Nyssa always loved... Alexander, and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day... it could always make her laugh.

Awwww... poor Boy Wonder. Hope it get's better soon! (reminds me of Alexander, and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very BAD Day!) ... and some days are LIKE that... even in Australia! But whole WEEKS should NEVER be like that!

Poor baby. Don't you just love phone calls that start with, "I just want you to know I'm OK..."? I am glad he is OK and he handled it well.
I know you just wanted to hold him and kiss it and tell him it was going to be alright....that's what I would have wanted to do!

Ouch! I'm really sorry to hear about your Boy Wonder but glad to hear that everything is okay now. He really is grown up now. He knows how to handle things and Boy Wonder is really good looking.
