Wow, our garden is really producing right now. It's really nice to run out to the garden and pick fresh veggies for dinner. We are going to have a bumper crop of tomatoes when they all start turning red.

I may have to set up a road side stand. We worked out in the garden this morning till it got too hot. We staked up tomatoes and ran the tiller through the rows. We pulled a million weeds and then to our delight got a really good soaking rain this evening.

Our green bean crop was wonderful. We will plant more for later harvest. We haven't had a vegetable garden in many years since we are usually gone many weeks in the summer! It's been nice to have our friends come see us this year.

We have a new batch of company coming tonight. They are our favorite Kansas kin so it will be lots of food, fun and long gab sessions. The sad part is that the visit always ends way too quickly!

My squash & green beans are in...it must be too hot for the strawberries as every one is dried out. The pumpkins are just forming and the tomatoes are all still green.
Luckily I have lots of friends and neighbors who will take my extras off my hands. I love sharing my garden with friends.

How wonderful to have truly fresh veggies for your dinner table! Ymmy! What all did you plant besides Tomatoe's and Green Beans?
I've never planted a vegetable garden...never realkly had a proper place for it...everything is hillside and not really conducive to vegetables.

I LOVE fresh tomatoes from the garden! I tried to grow some here last year and it simply didn't work. I have a brown thumb to start with!!

I hope you and your company have a wonderful visit that you will savor long after they are gone!

Blessings.

That is really nice. I wish it was the same here. We don't really have a garden, but if we did, it wouldn't be doing well. It has been so dry here. I don't think we have mowed our lawn in weeks. There are watering and burning restrictions. Hot and dry.

I bet it was nice to have fresh food for your visitors.

Have a great rest of the weekend.
