Today is Dr. Seuss's birthday. I started thinking about Dr. Seuss this morning because I found one of his quotes on my calendar.

"Don't cry because it's over.
Smile because it happened." - Dr. Seuss

Then I used a Dr. Suess postage stamp to mail some bills....

Then I read a T13 about favorite kid's books and yes, Dr. Suess was still a favorite. So I looked the man up on the internet and found this interesting bit of trivia.

In 1960 Bennett Cerf bet Geisel $50 that he couldn't write an entire book using only fifty words. The result was Green Eggs and Ham. Cerf never paid the $50, btw...

So in my best Dr. Suess, here's a wrap up of the Blog Olympics Training Camps:

Camp #2: Throw a blog party using your links in a party setting:
Camp #3: How quickly will your blog load up?

They came to blog.
They were in a fog.
They were bold,
They hoped for gold.

They were told to "throw a party. "
Some were quick and some were tardy.
One used pink, they all used links ( to party hardy)

One will win, the rest will lose, the majority of us opted to snooze.

There's always a villian, who is always willin, to blow things up or do some killin.

Aren't you glad it's all pretend, and in the end we'll all be friends?

Is Barbara a clone, will she lose her mind? Is she really a super hero of the nicest kind?

Was it fun ? Will you play again? You now got bragging rights to lend.

Display the gold, silver or bronze....but don't forget your Olympic bonds.

In two more weeks, it begins again....The Ides of March ....beware my friends!

Lazy Daisy - Great Suessery. My son loves Dr. Seuss, he's still very popular. His school had a Dr. Seuss day a couple years ago on his birthday. I loved the blog parties, I'm going to have to throw one.

Slight edit, Daisy.

'TWO will win, the rest will lose, the majority of us opted to snooze.'

Both the Pink One and I picked up gold [looks pleased]
And the others weren't losers.....no such thing as losers in the Olympics :)

btw - wonderful that your daughter feels that way about you, my dear [hugs]
