I saw my first spring flowers today. It was just a bit of color peeking up from the brown leaves and and brown grass. I had to brush away some to the leaves to really find them. They are purple crocus and they made me smile. The sun was warmer than it's been and there was actually a gentle cool breeze. Just nippy enough so you still remember that's it's winter, but with the promise of spring on the horizon.

Just that little bit of color was enough. It was a feast for the eye, and a tonic for the soul. Had anything changed in my life? No.....only my outlook. No rose colored glasses for this girl, but just a different way of seeing.
