I won the best Humor Blog in the BEST SO FAR BLOG AWARDS!

Thank you for voting for me. I guess I didn't know I really wanted to win till it looked like Barbara and Killired would run away with their categories. Hey, I know these two......they would want answers as to why I couldn't pull in the votes!

It's been a humbling experience for me. I never knew I had this burning ambition for "world wide domination through humor." I would so much rather have greatness thrust upon me rather than have to go campaigning for it.

What now? I guess now is the time to blow the cat hairs off the keyboard and sharpen up my DQ. (No not Diary Queen.....even though they know me by my first name there....."Hi Lazy! Want the usual?") I'm talking about the Determination Quotient.

In a recent article by Marvin Olasky he talks about the DQ factor. He quotes several famous authors . Michael Crichton states "Books aren't written. They are rewritten." James Michener states. "I'm not a a very good writer, but I'm an excellent rewriter." I agree with Tom Clancy in that "Writing is most of all an exercise in determination."

It would be harder for me not to write at this point in my life. Don't get me wrong....there are rewards , many of you give me instant gratification through your comments. "A positively brilliant," comment from my friend Minerva is almost as good as a Pulitzer!

So I will continue to hone my craft. I'l write about the fluff and stuff in Daisy World....rant about the evils of Weight Watchers, extol the virtues of my children and, for the most part, "mesmerize you with my falling snowflakes. " My competition may think I'm a featherweight in this division but little do they know, those snowflakes are actually sublimial messages that say...."Vote for Lazy Daisy!"
