Yesterday I extoled the virtues of my darling daughter Becky as the person who started me on my Blogging Adventure. Beeks is cutting edge.....her mom is more soft and fluffy.

I first started blogging for my own amusement and to everyone else's amazement. Most of my friends have no idea what a blog is....or why I would want to write one for "just anyone to read."

It was hard to find my own voice and not be a cookie cutter copy of everyone else. Just like my snowflakes.....I'm unique!

I started writing daily posts in July after visiting my Canadian Cuties in Saskatoon.

I struggled to find topics to write about but I persisted ........then I found Barbara!

It was fall and I wanted to write about Pumpkin Chunkin..(guess who had already done a post?)

I was captivated instantly by her biting humor and quick mind. I learned more things from her posts than I had anywhere else. I admit to being a blog stalker. (I even read her archieves....but don't tell her okay?)

I then began to poach her blog roll......I started visiting people she liked to read.

I quickly discovered Mommy Blogs, God Fathers, Thursday 13's, Friends of the Friendless Marching Band, being smacked, Holidallies and last but not least the Blog Olympics.

At first it was some what confusing.....who was Michele and why was she sending people to Barbara? What were the 10 most common mistakes bloggers make? What was the very best gift a 9 year old boy could want and why was my 24 year old son suddenly interested in where to purchase one?

I'll also admit to knowing more about hamsters than I ever cared to know and being surprisingly entertained by the knowledge.

All these changes started happening for me about three months ago....when I "stumbled" on Trying to Catch Up!

Am I better blogger because of it? I met you didn't I?

So here's to the people in your life that give you a "lift up" the blogging ladder.....either through their encouragement, their links, or their virtual friendships!

So thank you fairy Blog Mother Barbara .......you continue to amaze me!
